Simple, (U)necessary Ramble. Will be back to regular programming soon.

This is one of those posts you don't want to read.
Short, apologetic, even boring it will be.
However, I feel I have to explain myself and my sporadic blogging.
True, the past couple of months have been distinctively busy for me. However, the last couple of weeks, although laden with activities that consume large amounts of time, have not been extremely busy. There is nothing to explain my lack of blogging.
Still, today, in the midst of speculating on this fine Sunday afternoon, a development of a possible theory came about.

Perhaps it is because there is too information that [I] am consuming. With the advent of social media (namely, Twitter, sometimes Facebook) and the hubbub of university life (a fine, stark contrast to just about a few months ago, when I was still in highschool), I believe my problem is that I'm subconsciously overwhelmed with taking everything in. So to write a blog post, it's like, where the heck-ity-heck do I start? I say subconsciously, because I am enjoying this process. In no way is this a complaint. It is simply the cognizant of something that's been at the back of mind for a while.

It's not affecting just blogging, but other aspects too: schoolwork, tasks for extra-currics, responding to emails/texts. Always have been a procrastinator, but now this is simply at a whole 'nother level.
Am I crazy? Have you felt this too? Are you crazy, then, too?
I may not even feel this way tomorrow. But I sure am now.

And now a random, aesthetically-appealing doodle of mine to break up text.

CONFESSIONS OF A LOOPY 18-AND-ALMOST-A-HALF-YEAR-OLD

My writing's too creative for news journalism.
My writing's not creative enough for creative writing.
My writing is too verbose (read: wordy) for public speaking competitions.
My verbose writing is overlooked during the interlude known as the assessment of academic papers.

Is this what a quarter-life crisis feels like?

>> But I still love words. <3333

{word(s) of the moment}:

1. acquiescence

[ak-wee-es-uhns]
–noun 1. the act or condition of acquiescing  or giving tacit assent; agreement or consent by silence or without objection; compliance

2. reprobate

[rep-ruh-beyt]  noun, adjective, verb, -bat·ed, -bat·ing.
–noun 1. a depraved, unprincipled, or wicked person

3. thespian

[thes-pee-uhn]
–adjective 1. ( often lowercase) pertaining to tragedy or to the dramatic art in general.

4. docile

You know what my long-lost dream has been, blogosphere? To partake in a spelling bee. I have never had the privilege of doing so. I reckon it would be amazing and so my forte.

p.s. My sparse blogging has probably resulted in me losing followers left and right. Please don't go! Please don't leave me! I can change! I can implement a strict blogging schedule that will be as natural as my circadian rhythm! Baby come back! You can blame it all on meeeeeee!

Dramatic and pathetic monologues aside, I'm serious. Don't go. Why would you? I have a giveaway coming up. *smiles incredulously at the thought of having coerced her readers into continuing reading l'il 'ol UUU*

Revolutionary.

Imagine witnessing oppression and doing something about it.
Something small; arguably vestigial and insignificant .
Like posting a vlog.
Imagine it going viral.
Imagine having two million people support your fight for justice.
Imagine revolting.
Imagine single-handedly starting A REVOLUTION.
This social media zealot is awed at the power of Twitter and Facebook.
This not-particularly-socially-active-even-though-she-tries-to-take-an-interest-to-the-best-of-her-abilities individual is even more awed at the power and courage of those Egyptians brave enough to stand up for their rights.
Peace & solidarity & safety of the peaceful protesters; I wish for all this and send prayers to my brethren halfway across the world. GO EGYPT! And go Mubarak, just go.

Supporting a revolution and history-in-the-making with unkempt appearances and non-vintage clothes would be almost blasphemous! Juggling academics and copious extra-curricular activities, along with ingesting plates of carrot muffins ladened with vanilla ice-cream--a surprisingly and exceedingly delicious combination--must be done in a manner that incorporates clothes from the 80's and 90's, too.

Therefore, I ornamented myself with this outfit:

 who what wear?
  • kaleidoscopic, vintage, geometric-print, flippin' awesome skirt, $1, Jet Rag
  • tie-dyed jeans, $10, Urban Planet
  • black velvet bootie heels, $10
  • vintage sequined cropped jacket, $5, Value Village
  • teal pashmina scarf, $5, Urban Planet
  • green, long-sleeve tee, $3, Ross
*This was actually worn whilst I performed spoken word in front of a crowd, of which I do have a video...but technology is being lame. Perhaps in the near future iA?

**This is the powerful, moving vlog that was the catalyst for the whole revolution:
