SNOWBALLIN'.

                    Yellow amigas!
This post, as foreshadowed in the post title, will be all about SNOWBALL (a.k.a. the excuse of a winter formal at my school. Pardon my bitterness, but I'm just following the guidelines of Teen Angst. Because, you know, we're all moody and stuff.  Ooo, I've got the whole Normal Teenager concept totally down!)

Ohemgee, this is getting old now, but I must get this off my chest: JUDE LAW IS SOOO THE OBJECT OF MY AFFECTION. I just watched The Holiday, and am appalled to learn I just discovered his cuteness today.

Anyways.

And a one, and a two, and one two three! :
The outfit:
  • dress: $4....yes, really! omg squeaaal. Bought it at a random little place in L.A. this summer.
  • wetlook leggings: $5, Urban Outfitters
  • velvet scarf: me mothers'.
  • necklace: $10, Aldo, gifted....SHE IS SO BEAUTIFUL. Thanks Ruby! <3
  • purse: gifted, Urban Behaviour.....ALSO A BEAUTY. Thanks Hiba! <3
  • AND THOSE LUSTFUL SHOES: ....$5, Ross....So, I wore them shopping in Old Pasadena in California this summer---and got complimented by strangers on the street! I was gushing! They're just soooo delicious. I realized I don't have a picture that highlight their beauty completely, so I'll have to snap one later---USE YOUR IMAGINATION FOR NOW, KIDDOS.
GET CLOSER, babooshka.

Okay, so I'm not sure how the friendsies feel of having their piix on Internet Land--I mean, (I'm stumped, though, who DOESN'T want to increase their chances of having a registered sex offender track 'em online, I mean, GUFFAW)--so I've done a horrible job of blacking out their faces. It's scary. But in Hollywood, scary works.

OH NOES. A close up!? I hate 'em---but I was hoping to highlight my eye makeup. Booo, it didn't work---I SWEAr, MY EYES WERE MORE, "BAM!"

^Snowball, LAST YEAR! (2008)
  • dress: Mariposa, $12
  • striped shirt: je ne sais pas?
  • purse: vintage!
  • leopard print scarf: Motherina's!

Okay, now contrary to popular belief, I am a hardcore partyer. If the following fotos don't convince you,  I don't know what will:

EXHIBIT A

EXHIBIT B

HAHA.

Okay, so I just hardcorely embarassed myself.

As I hide out for as long as humanely possible, I leave you with these words:
THANKS FOR THE + FEEDBACK, MUAH. Y'ALL ARE AMOOOZING. =)
Until next time.

I LIKE TO HAVE MY THOUGHTS RESONATE ON MY COMPUTER SCREEN.

YO, Urooba here.
Duh, who else would it be? *scoffs*
This post is just a convenient method of me typing on my keyboard and having my thoughts resonate on my computer screen.
It is not related to fashion, or to the tidbits of my life---the topics most discussed here at Under Urooba's Umbrella.
See how categorize the latter under a very broad title? That is how amazing I am.
You know that assignment your English teacher gives you, where she tells you to write whatever the heck is coming to mind.
I'm doing that here. But this ain't no english assignment. This ain't non of yo old-fashioned pen and paper. But it's basically that. It.

And plus I didn't wanna status update or tweet, I mean, that is so 2009.
Good night, its approx 3:04 am.

Don't worry, a real post coming real soon. None of this fake biznezzzz. ZING!
Plus, my blog, my rules. ;)

GIMMIE A BREAK, GIMMIE A BREAK, GIMMIE A KIT KAT BAR!

HEY THERRRR, 49-year-olds-that-pose-as-16-year-olds-in-a-way-they-think-is-superbly-clever-but-in-fact-is-supremely-creepy and the rest of the citizens of Internet Land! HOW YOU DOIN'?

Woohoooooo, winter break has descended upon me (most of us), and smiles can't stop escaping my ruby red lips. Ruby red lips which are obviously achieved before I put on Revlon's Ultralast Lipgloss in Ruby Red (?), duh.

So I managed to completely waste yesterday. or. I got completely wasted yesterday.
Ha! Clever, I know. Oh, stop with the flattery. Aw, c'mon now, you're making me blush. Seriously, my cheeks are turning a surprisingly familiar shade of Ruby Red!

Wait, actually I watched a movie yesterday. Most of you won't know it, but some of you might---Wake Up Sid. It's a bollywood movie. It was waaaaaay cute. And Ranbir Kapoor is waaaaaaay cute. FINALLY. After years of watching Bollywood cinema, I FINALLY have a Bollywood Celeb Crush. This is a momentus moment. Let us all breathe in, and take in a picture of the Cutie Patootie that is Ranbir Kapoor:
AW. I melt.

On the subject of males that have captured my heart, let us not forget the Hottie Mcphottie that is Channing Tatum:

Sigh. My melted self farther evaporates.

Ahem. This is getting embarassing. Anyways.

So this past week was my school's winter formal, aka Snowball. It was a good time. :D And it may sound narcissistic or whatever, but I LOVED MY SHOES. I don't have pix yet, but I will soon (all the more reason to come back to my blog ;) )! OMG, MY SHOES REALLY ARE BEAUTIFUL, lol. They're these gorgeous metallic silver, silver sequined oxfords I got for 5 FREAKIN' DOLLARS!!!! Sigh, they're delicious. Actually, my whole outfit cost ~$30. Meanwhile, girls at my school bought mediocre-looking dresses for like, y'know, more than $30. Aw, that's mean. Whatever. I'm not naming names, so its cooo'. Details of my Snowball Oufit will ensue in a future post as I have yet to to get pictures from my friend! Speaking of my friends, they all looked like Gorgeous Muchachas! That's "incredibly hot" for poeple who don't understand Spanish Gibberish, a language native to...the ...people...in ...err, South Korea.

Well, here's an outfit y'all. Actually, pieces of a coupla outfits. Does that happen to y'all? You come up with an outfit, ACTUALLY wear it, but then realize it wasn't so great? Hmph. Oh well, enjoyz. :

A rushed outfit. Mostly boring so I just stuck a whole buncha pins on my vest for something interesting.
  • shirt: Old Navy, $4
  • vest: DIY...cut my 'lil bro's hoodie, mwhahah.
  • pins: Jules & James, from Zellers...~$2
I lost the "I LOVE ME" pin---tragedy! :(

Here, I used one of the pins as a ring! Sheesh, I'm clever.

Happy Holidays, guys! Come back, kay!? And thank yoooooh for all the postive feedback--my motivation to keep blogging! :P

LIVING ON THE EDGE

I survived The Busiest Week Of Life As Of  Yet! THIS CALLS FOR APPLAUSE. GIMME SOME OF YO CYBER APPLAUSE.
It was fun!  Spent more time in downtown Vancouver than in my own room, mhm.
It was busy, 'cause of that production I was in, 'member? Called the Edge Project.
Scroll through old posts to find out more, comment, become a follower of this blog, eat a pb & j sandwhich....hm, what?
Daaang, I AM SUPERBLY CLEVER.
So yes.

Also, have y'all heard of Challenge Day? Yeah, that kept me busy for one day out of this week. I'm too lazy to explain it. Google it, or better yet, googlegooglegooglegoogle.com it. YEEYEE.
Heartwrenching stuff, lolz.

Okay, hmm, I probably shouldn't publicly admit this...but I cried in my biology and chemistry classes on Friday. Literal tears streamed down my face.
It was my inner nerd coming out. LET'S JUST SAY LOW MARKS AND STRESS STRESS STRESS.

Stop the awwwing, I have good  news. :) Today, I bought a buncha old Vogue issues for ten cents each.
WAH HAH, CHA CHING, S-C-C-ORE!
They will be manically pulled apart and shredded and teared to go on my Wall of Fashion Inspiration of Extreme and Utterly Inspiring Inspiration  (WFIEUI).
WFIEUI is pretty. She's only a few months old. She is loved and nurtured. The father is Innate Passion for Fashion.
He doesn't even send child sevice checks, yo.
HEH.

Outfit = A month-ish old = wore it for my grad photos.

ON ME:
  • metallic scarf: Ross, $8
  • wetlook leggings: Urban Outfitters, $5
  • belt: 'lil bro's!
  • silver kitten heels: Joe Fresh, $3
  • purse: vintage
  • "dress": part of an ethnic oufit of my mothers' in the 80's... so, vintage, yeah yeah yeha?
And my make-up was pretty superb. You can't tell, but believe me it was.

KAY KAY KAY, G'NIGHT.

YOU'RE THE "HIGHLIGHT" OF MY DAY.

HEY FINE FELLAS, I wish I could show you the outfit I wore today! But alas, I currently am not in possession of my camera. Why though? Part of my acting class at school, I'm in this "multi-community performance project focusing on youth, for youth, by youth. Part play, part installation, part proof that creation has no borders." It's called "The Edge Project" and it's in partnership with Greenthumb Theatre.
...Wait, what was I saying again? Oh, right. My outfit. So, our "costumes" in this play are dressing like ourselves 'cause the play focuses on believing in yourself, being true to yourself, blah blah blah, and other corny cliched themes. I shall post a post of it in a future post (OH. MAYBE YOU SHOULD FOLLOW ME, so you can witness said future post of epic porportions. Ha! --see what I did there? Again, me refraining from sounding desperate.)
For now, here's a mental image: LIME GREEN, NEON PINK, GLITTERY PURPLE, HOT PINK, WETLOOK.. oooo boy, bring on the tacky! Today's blog post outfit borrows some items from today's real time outfit. Or rather, the other way around. Ack, stop. Headache.

AND I DON'T THINK I HAVE MENTIONED ANYTHING ABOUT MY LOVE FOR THE HOTTIE MCFOTTIE THAT IS CHANNING TATUM--check him out in this new trailer for his upcoming movie, 'Dear John'...OMG, ORGASM.:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0fq5dd0C60
^I posted the link and this little inscription on my facebook:

DEAR CHANNING TATUM: You stole my heart when I was a mere prepubescent thirteen year old by being my first celeb crush. You also defined the word lust for me. Thank you for being SO MINDBLOWINGLY RIDICULOUSLY AMAZINGLY UNBELIEVABLY FUCKING HOT. Screw Twilight boys, I want you!

Keep in mind I hardly swear---keepin' it classy yo. I just had to this time.

Ah, well. This week will be an incredibly, incredibly busy one---I think my busiest one yet. Wish me good luck. And thank you for commenting on my blog!-- this gal highly appreciates this. Okay that was beyond lame. Sorry. But then agin, lameness erupts full throttle here at Under Urooba's Umbrella.

 WHAT I WORE:
  • yup, those same 'ole black skinnies-- I don't always wear them, honest! It's a coinky-dink!
  •  grey hoodie - little bro's (yes, really. I borrow other clothes from him too. It's rather absurd, but mostly groovy).
  • "Your luck is just about to change" sequined tank - Zara, $8.50 (Splurge, normally, but it's Zara, so...)
  • the purple, glittery awesomeness that is my purse- Icing by Claires, $5 (I LOVE IT.)
  • neon lime green, fake Converse - Ardenes, $5
  • zebra-print scarf - gifted!
  • jewellery: Claires, Pakistan, my Dad's old watch...etc, etc.
CIAO, BELLAS.
